Job Title: Avionics Technician
Job DescriptionUsing a variety of test equipment, perform efficient maintenance, inspection, installation, modification, and repair of all electrical and avionics systems utilized on assigned aircraft. Troubleshoot and test complex avionic and electrical systems under simulated or actual operating conditions to determine performance and airworthiness. Apply comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems in interpreting manufacturers’ manuals, operators’ handbooks, or other similar documents. Utilize technical knowledge of avionics and electrical systems in determining equipment malfunctions and apply the required expertise in restoring equipment and/or operation. Ensure aircraft airworthiness and safety is the priority.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, inspection, installation, modification, and repair of all electrical and avionics systems on assigned aircraft.
- Troubleshoot and test complex avionic and electrical systems under simulated or actual operating conditions.
- Determine performance and airworthiness of aircraft.
- Apply technical knowledge to solve complex problems using manufacturers’ manuals and operators’ handbooks.
- Identify equipment malfunctions and restore equipment and/or operation.
- Ensure aircraft airworthiness and safety.
Essential Skills- 3+ years of avionics experience or electrical/electronic experience on fixed-wing aircraft.
- Aircraft Electronics Technician (AET) certification.
- FCC license with radar endorsement.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing avionic systems.
- Experience with wire harness installation and repair.
- Technical knowledge of GPS and pilot systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with avionics installation.
- Knowledge of FCC regulations.

Work Environment
Technicians will train in Crestview and then mostly work in the Andalusia hangar. The work environment involves handling advanced avionics equipment and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Crestview, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.76 - $31.50
