Live and work in beautiful middle TN! Just 30 minutes from Nashville, Murfreesboro Aviation is looking to fill two Avionics Technician positions immediately. We are an FAA-certified repair station at (KMBT) servicing single and light twin private aircraft. We have been doing business in the Nashville area for 13 years and, along with our flight training and aircraft maintenance facility, we have a great team and are continuing to grow. Our avionics shop installs EFIS/GPS/Com/Nav/Autopilot/Engine Monitors, etc from all the major avionics manufacturers.
Avionics Installer:
The right candidate has some experience with avionics installation/testing, electronics wiring, metal work. Experience with Garmin, Aspen, Avidyne and similar products is preferred. Starting pay rate is negotiable and will depend upon experience.
Desired Personal Skills and Experience:
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legal to work in the US

- Ability to identify colors and utilize good hand/eye coordination
- Ability to read and understand technical installation and maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, drawings, schematics, etc.

- 1-3 years related experience preferred
- Demonstrate proper use of basic hand tools: heat gun, hand crimpers, screwdriver, solder iron, ruler, and other equipment
Essential Job Functions:
- Integrate prepared wiring harnesses into existing aircraft systems
- Mount avionic racks/shelves IAW applicable FAA regulations/STC instructions
- Work and complete tasks on time with minimal supervision
- Responsible for clean-up of the work area
- Weekend support and overtime are minimal
- Work with and assist coworkers to complete assignments when necessary
Physical Demands:
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching required
- Occasional work in small spaces, inclement weather/temperatures, and noisy environments may be required
Wage and Benefits:
- 1st Shift hours between 8:00 am-4:30 pm
- Wages commensurate with experience
- 90-day probationary period
Avionics Technician:
The right candidate has at least 3 years of experience with avionics installation/testing/troubleshooting, electronics wiring, and metal work. Experience installing, Garmin, Aspen, Avidyne, and similar products. We are looking for a candidate who can hit the ground running. A current FAA repairman certificate is preferred, but we will train the right person. Private pilot experience is a plus. The starting pay rate is negotiable and will depend upon experience.

- Fabricate cable assemblies and wiring harnesses using manufacturer instructions while ensuring high company standards are met
- Work and complete tasks on time with minimal supervision and exhibit good problem-solving skills
- Experience in the General Aviation industry within the FAA 145 repair station is preferred
- Knowledge of Com/Nav/GPS/Autopilot operation for troubleshooting
