Avionics Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Avionics Technician to perform functional testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics and electrical systems. You will prepare aircraft for flight tests and airworthiness certification.
Responsibilities
- Perform functional testing of avionics and electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair avionics and electrical systems.
- Prepare aircraft for flight tests and airworthiness certification.
- Diagnose problems and takes corrective action
- Troubleshoots problems on defective units or wiring discrepancies.
- Complete logs, discrepancies, and/or modification notices carried forward from previous areas of assembly
- Transport aircraft to designated locations
- Assist with performing avionics and electrical calibrations and functional tests, for example, communication, navigation, equipment, AC/DC power distribution, secondary flight controls, autopilot system, electrical portions of anti-ice systems, fuel quantity, fuel control system, climate control system, and pressurization system
- Perform compass calibration and verification
- Install test equipment on the aircraft for ground and/or in-flight troubleshooting
Essential Skills
- 2 years of avionics troubleshooting experience.
- 2 years of flight line or return to service experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience troubleshooting and repairing aircraft electrical and avionics systems.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00
