Chipton-Ross is seeking a Cable Inspector for a contract opportunity in Clearwater, FL.
This position is 100% onsite.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Uses predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to inspect visually in-process and completed Cable Inspections.
- Uses various measuring devices.
- Accepts, rejects, or reworks defective or malfunctioning units or systems.
- Works from blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions, and checklists.
- May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical processes or other control procedures.
- Has the willingness and ability to perform assembly tasks related to assigned inspection areas if needed.
- Experience with Cables and ability to identify non-conformances IAW IPC-A-620, & specific other requirements.
- May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical processes or other control procedures.
- Communicates effectively with assemblers, engineers, and management when resolving quality issues.
- This includes detail orientation and proficiency at interpreting drawings, diagrams, parts lists, IPC manuals, revision control, reference documents, and work instructions.
- Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Interfaces effectively and diplomatically with assemblers, test technicians, engineers, customers, and management when resolving quality issues.
- Proficiency with using Personal Computers and newer applications.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Candidate has a strong background in the manufacturing process of Cables Inspections.
- Has the willingness and ability to perform assembly tasks related to assigned inspection areas as needed.
- MUST have experience with soldered and crimp inspection on cables using IPC-A-620 standards.
- Requires prior inspection experience.
- Detail-oriented and proficient at interpreting drawings, diagrams, parts lists, IPC manuals, revision control, reference documents, and work instructions.
- A team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Interfaces effectively and diplomatically with assemblers, test technicians, engineers, customers, and management when resolving quality issues.
- Proficient with Personal Computers.

WORK HOURS:
- Full-Time 4/10 work Schedule
- 2nd Shift 3:30 PM EST - 2:00 AM
- Mon-Thurs with OT on the weekends.
