Under moderate supervision, the incumbent plan and perform various duties including assembly, disassembly, repair, rework, modification, inspection, and associated processes on a variety of electronic, electrical, and electromechanical components and units to maintain flow of work while practicing and complying with environmental, health and safety directions and procedures.
This position will be working in an Onsite capacity.
2nd Shift: Mon. - Fri. 3:30 AM - 12:00 AM EDT
What You Will Do:
- Work from blueprints, schematics, parts lists, wire lists, unit history sheets and other written and verbal instructions
- within established methods and procedures.
- Plan and perform disassembly, rework, repair, assembly, inspection, simple test, final process, and associated operations on various products utilizing procedures and techniques to conform with quality standards.
- Ensure that all documentation such as specifications, procedures and forms and applicable tools, gages and fixtures are quality compliant and traceable.
- Perform a variety of material control and handling duties such as unloading, receiving, storing, disbursing, packaging, and shipping material and equipment.
- Prepare, maintain, and monitor all necessary records such as check lists, log sheets, unit history records, routing sheets and schedules.
- Perform appropriate inspection operations including process review, visual and dimensional checks, and documentation compliance.
- Operate computer terminals to retrieve, enter or verify information.
- Review customer service instructions to determine extent of service to be performed. Generate documentation to determine appropriate routing of hardware.
- Perform external visual check for damage and abnormalities and record on unit history and/or receiving inspection form.
- Order all necessary parts by utilizing automated parts inventory system. Prepare supplemental sales order requisitions as required.
- Utilize measuring equipment such as dial indicators, micrometers, and ohmmeters to perform required checks.
- Clean and degrease parts as required.
- Obtain, move, and expedite units, parts, and materials within shop to support operations.
- Perform and maintain point of use inventory.
- Review requirements in planning and selecting necessary tools and equipment.
- Make up and install wiring, cables and harnesses deterring most appropriate routing.
- Apply various coating such as zinc chromate, anodize and touch up paint.
- Remove and apply bonding material as required; perform oven cure operations.
- Set-up, operate and perform minor maintenance on equipment and tools such as soldering irons, desoldering machines, crimpers, heat guns, pliers, and torque wrenches.
- Verify work performed.
- Support customer witness needs as required.
- Improve process and solve problems in cooperation with fellow employees and supervision.
- Perform minor and preventive maintenance such as check fluid levels, lubricate fittings, clean, or replace filters, replace bulbs, and tighten fittings and/or hardware.
- Instruct one or two fellow employees in proper performance of duties.
- Keep equipment and surroundings neat, clean, and organized.
- Perform related duties as required within the scope of this job function.
- Training may take place on 1st or 2nd Shift for up to 6 months.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Current or previous experience with knowledge of basic electronic and electromechanical assembly, bonding and potting procedures and certification in soldering/rework operations; subject to periodic recertification.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Ability to use variable measuring equipment such as micrometers and vernier calipers, and various test equipment such as digital instruments and analog recorders.
- IPC J-Standard 610 Soldering Certification
- Ability to assemble and disassemble electronic hardware.
- Ability to use decimals, fractions and specified formulas, and work from test
- data sheets, blueprints, schematics, sketches, process

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
The salary range for this role is $32.65 to $35.92; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
