Job Description:
Responsible for electrical maintenance and repair on Commercial Aircraft types.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Remove and replace various aircraft components and electrical systems with the use of special tooling and ground support equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair all major electrical, communications, and navigational systems down to component level with various testing equipment on aircraft or in a shop environment.
- Analyze all repairs deciding independent methods and procedures to accomplish assignments.
- Perform as a Relief Supervisor assuming all Supervisor responsibilities in his or her absence.
- Lead and work with a crew that could vary in size and skillset.
- Maintain and supply personal records of work performed on OJT forms for the Training Department.
- Successfully complete any necessary training courses.
Job Requirements:
- Must be able to read and understand maintenance manuals, blue prints and engineering drawings.
- Must be able to operate a personal computer to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and Database Programs.
- Must have excellent organization skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Must be able and willing to work weekends, any shift and overtime if required.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:
- Requires easy mobility around various sections of aircraft and the dexterity to remove and replace parts in a timely manner.
- Must be able to overcome stressful situations and have the ability to work long hours, if necessary.
- Must have the capacity to gain knowledge by hearing for one’s own safety due to the dangers involved.
- Working environment requires standing the majority of the workday on hard surfaces.
- Must be able to repeatedly lift 50lbs.
- Must be reliable and be able to report to work on a daily basis.
EDUCATION:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- A&P license required.
EXPERIENCE:
- Five (5) years transport category aircraft experience required in Avionics.
- Presently classified as a Lead or Senior Avionics Mechanic.
- Previous Lead/Supervisory experience required
- Strong leadership skills required.
Salary Range:
$65,000-$75,000
