We are looking for all levels of metrology technicians for a permanent position in Orlando, Florida. This is for a team doing a project at NASA/Kennedy Space Center in Brevard County.

- Follow; Modify; & Create detailed measurement plans based on design documents & job requirements
- Includes appropriate equipment selection for tolerances required
- Set up and run Metrology projects from start to finish to include:
- Planning; Device Knowledge; Proper Set-up; Measurement Operations; Data Analysis; & Reporting
- Receive instructions from the Customer & Follow instructions per Measurement Plan & Quality Management System (QMS) Measurement Guidelines
- Initialize & oversee Metrology crew on large-scale projects (Levels 2 & 3)
- Proper teamwork and delegation of duties based on abilities
- Mentor staff members to align the team for success
- Technical expertise in Portable Coordinate Measurement Systems (CMS) includes:
- Laser Trackers; Portable CMM Arms; Photogrammetry; Laser and Lidar Scanners
- CMS Product Acceptance Software (PAS) expertise, including proper set-up & reporting
- Spatial Analyzer; Verisurf; PolyWorks; V-Stars; etc.
- Apply analytical problem-solving techniques with a metrology-based approach
- Maintain accurate records and report results, including nonconformances per our client's QMS procedures and customer requirements
- 3D CAD experience required to work with native files; STEP; and IGES to compare collected measurement data to nominal condition
- Wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the field and promoting Safety
Qualifications & Experience
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
- Years of relevant experience working heavily in Metrology with hands-on CMS device and program use:
Level 1 – 2+ Years
Level 2 – 5+ Years
Level 3 & Lead Metrologist – 10+ Years
Quality Manager - 20+yrs
- Detailed working knowledge of Metrology concepts, tools, & systems
- ASQ; ASME; CMSC; NIST; NPL; etc.
- GD&T working knowledge and application proficiency
- Working knowledge of datums & feature creation including point density
- Technical expertise in proper CMS device selection and implementation
- Technical expertise in CMS Product Acceptance Software
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills and capabilities
