Job Description:

Vortex Aviation is seeking a Travel Avionics Technician to join our team. As an Avionic Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of our aircraft's electrical and avionics systems. In this role, you will collaborate with our skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technicians, performing system inspections, conducting tests, and using diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve any issues. Your ability to communicate effectively and work well within a team will contribute to the overall success of our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Performing maintenance and repair on avionic systems, including navigation, communication, and electronic control systems.
  • Diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues using specialized testing equipment.
  • Interpreting flight test data and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper functionality of avionics systems.
  • Install new avionic components and upgrade existing systems as per manufacturer's guidelines.
  • Collaborating with other technicians to troubleshoot complex avionic system problems.
  • Conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Documenting all repairs, modifications, and maintenance procedures accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards.
Job Requirements:
  • Troubleshoot and repair avionic systems on various aircraft models, including but not limited to navigation systems, communication systems, radar systems, autopilot systems, and electrical components.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks on avionic equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals to effectively diagnose and resolve avionic system malfunctions.
  • Collaborate with a team of technicians to develop solutions for complex avionic issues, utilizing strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Conduct thorough pre-flight and post-flight checks to verify the functionality and performance of avionic systems, ensuring overall aircraft safety and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of all avionic repairs, inspections, and modifications performed, adhering to documentation protocols and reporting any discrepancies or potential hazards.
  • Adhere to strict adherence to Vortex Aviation's quality control standards and procedures, ensuring all work is completed accurately, efficiently, and within established timelines.
  • Seeking candidates with 5+ years of experience in the Avionics field.

This is a Travel position that is two weeks on and two weeks off, you can be located anywhere in the United States. All travel and lodging is covered by Vortex Aviation. 

 

A&P License required.

Salary Range: 76,000-86,400
