Job Summary:
Apollo MedFlight is seeking a dedicated Operations Control Specialist (OCS) to join our Operations Control Center (OCC). In this role, you will exercise operational control authority, providing essential operational guidance to flight crews in accordance with FAA regulations (14 CFR 135.619) and company policies. You will be responsible for monitoring flight operations, providing weather briefings, conducting preflight risk analyses, and responding to aviation-related emergencies. This is a fast-paced role where attention to detail, multitasking, and clear communication is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with Apollo MedFlight’s General Operations Manual, Policy & Procedures, Federal Aviation Regulations, and all applicable company directives.
- Provide top-tier customer service while interacting with Apollo MedFlight’s Communication Center and partner communication centers.
- Monitor flight operations and provide real-time weather briefings to pilots, including current and forecasted weather conditions along flight routes.
- Conduct preflight risk analyses as required under FAR 135.617.
- Act as the corporate point of contact for aviation-related emergencies, managing the response until relieved by the Executive Team, and providing debriefs post-incident.
- Promptly escalate operational, personnel, or customer issues as necessary.
