Joby Aviation is seeking a highly organized, passionate 3DX PLM Software Engineer to help our team. As part of the Enterprise Operations team, you will design, implement, and deploy PLM solutions to streamline engineering and manufacturing business processes.
The position includes working with the various design, manufacturing, integration, and assembly technicians, engineers, and leads to understand the needs of engineering & manufacturing and provide streamlined transactional applications that maintain the traceability of our vehicle. You will work with engineering, quality, planning, inventory, IT, business systems, and others to integrate 3DX into our suite of enterprise business applications.
The 3DX PLM Software Engineer can be located at any one of our 3 site locations: Santa Cruz, San Calos, or Marina California.
Responsibilities
- Account administration & ticket management
- Work with the Engineering & Manufacturing teams to understand roadblocks, and then design, develop, and implement time saving functionalities
- Collaborate with business customers and subject matter experts to thoroughly understand enhancement requests and take action to provide robust, scalable solutions

- Work on various CATIA automation to reduce redundant effort and errors
- Implement interfaces and middleware to allow seamless integration across company systems
- Install, configure & maintain Pre-Production and Production servers
- Customization of PLM Analytics Tool
- Create and Configure new widget with in 3DX
- Transparent communication with the team on progress and blockers
Required
- B.S. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering and 7+ years Industry Experience. An advanced degree and 5+ years’ experience will also be considered.
- Minimum 5+ years of working experience in CATIA/3DExperience
- Must have working experience with 3DExperience 2020x and above
- Strong experience in Java enterprise platform and related technologies is a must
- Good understanding of 3DEXPERIENCE/ENOVIA fundamentals, data model and system architecture
- Proficient in EKL programing
- Multi-functional collaboration during all phases of project development and deployment
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards of work

Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $116,500 - $178,600/annually. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
