The Flight Controls and Autonomy team is currently seeking highly motivated technology pioneers with a desire to steer and lead the Autonomy industry. Successful candidates must be willing and able to work on highly complex challenging problems, leading to world-changing technological breakthroughs.

Basic Qualifications:
• Enrolled in undergraduate or graduate program in computer science, robotics, or Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning.
• Coursework on deep learning, machine learning and Robotics.
• Hands-on experience with deep learning architectures for vision processing. This includes Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs), and Transformers.
• Hands-on experience with on-policy and off-policy deep reinforcement learning architectures such as Deep Q Network (DQN) and Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO).
• Proficient in Python and experienced in Pytorch machine learning library.
Desired Skills:
• Experience with motion planning algorithms in obstructed environments such as RRT* and A*.
• Familiarity with aerial robotics vehicle dynamics and control.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
