ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The ATC Engineering Technician will:
• Produce prototype and low-rate production hardware by working hands-on with the machines and performing periodic machine checks
• Effectively use metrology/calibrated tools such as torque wrenches, height gauges, and feeler gauges during inspection of hardware
• Work with engineers and leadership to develop and document process improvements
• Take ownership for assigned lab areas including maintaining equipment, ordering supplies, environmental health and safety, and shop cleanliness
• Follow technical plans to meet desired manufacturing objectives
• Adhere to a detailed schedule for a complex engineering and / or manufacturing development work scope
• Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives
• Share engineering information and promote open dialogue
• Support preparation of invention disclosures to protect the technology that provides a competitive advantage to the business
• Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks are consistent with engineering policies and procedures
• Perform periodic maintenance and safety inspections
• Meet quality system requirements for Aerospace applications
• Be comfortable wearing a PAPR device, as well as pass a respiratory breathing test
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma / GED
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering (an Associates degree from an accredited school or institution in an engineering or manufacturing discipline may be substituted for experience)
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS
• Manufacturing experience in a process engineering environment
• Experience in one or more of the following process technologies:
• Direct metal laser melting equipment operation
• General Machine Tool Operation
• Hand Benching
• EDM Wire
• Handling hazmat or flammable materials
• Quality inspection techniques
