Senior Electrical Engineer- PCB Design Specialist

Scottsdale, AZ

Contract Position

$47.62-$52.62/Hour

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize high-density, multi-layer PCBs for high-speed and mixed-signal applications using Siemens Xpedition VX2.11 or newer.
• Implement HDI design techniques, including blind and buried vias, to optimize space and performance.
• Conduct signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC analysis to validate PCB designs.
• Create and review schematics for complex electrical systems and subsystems.
• Perform hardware checkout, debugging, and validation of prototypes using test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, etc.).
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure hardware functionality, reliability, and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software and mechanical engineers, to ensure seamless hardware integration.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to improve design methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

  Experience and Skills:

  • Proficiency in PCB design and layout using Siemens Xpedition VX2.11 or newer.
  • Hands-on experience with high-density PCB design techniques, including HDI layouts with blind and buried vias.
  • Experience with signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC analysis.
  • Strong hardware debugging skills, including using lab test equipment.
  • Experience developing and executing test plans for hardware validation.
