Contract Position

$65.73-$70.73/Hour

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, test, deploy, and support enterprise web applications for managing project data in a relational database, supporting rebuilds, upgrades, software licensing, and system configurations.
• Develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges using established engineering principles and methodologies.
• Perform technical analysis, planning, and engineering for web applications, including security-focused design and development.
• Provide recommendations on software and technology selection, implementation techniques, and tools for optimal efficiency.
• Administer system hosting and deployment in an enterprise environment with Active Directory authentication.
• Maintain and enhance web applications using Django (Python) with Microsoft SQL Server for data storage.
• Implement best practices in database administration, API development, and web application security.
• Utilize GitLab and Git for version control while working within an Agile development environment.

Qualifications:

• Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of job-related experience (or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience).
  • Agile experience preferred.

• Clearance Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

• Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Expertise in designing, developing, integrating, testing, and maintaining web applications using the Django Python Framework with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Proficiency in Python, HTML5, HTMX, JavaScript, and CSS.
  • Strong experience with RESTful API development and debugging.
  • Familiarity with GitLab/Git for version control and database administration best practices.
  • Knowledge of web security principles and enterprise deployment strategies, including Active Directory authentication.
