Airbus Beluga Transport - Flight Operations Engineer (M/F)

Job Description:

AiBT is the Airbus internal airline operating the Beluga ST to support the oversized transport services outside Airbus network for new types of customers and payloads such as Engines, Helicopters, Satellite components or complete satellites, ISS Components, Containers, Machinery. First commercial operation was successfully completed in December, 2021. 

With a wide range of external missions, the External Flight Operations team has a key role in developing this new Beluga  transport services.

Responsibilities:

As Flight Operations Engineer, you will contribute to the safety and the performance of flight operations for each assigned transport mission. 

You will work on both short and long term activities and projects involving multiple teams from different departments. 

You will apply and improve the internal procedures on a broad range of technical subjects such as : new route and airport studies, operations and manufacturer manual updates, aircraft performance and weight & balance analysis, EFB administration, flight and fuel efficiency studies, Operational Control Center (OCC) support and technical tool administration.

You will encourage and champion innovation, proactive approaches and responsiveness within the Flight Operations Engineering department.

Required skills: 

• Engineer or University degree holder, or equivalent;

• Work experience of aircraft flight operations in an airline would be key;

• Ground & Flight safety mindset;

• Team spirit;

• Ability to communicate with very different stakeholders in a multifunctional environment;

• Ability to cope with several tasks at the same time, work under time pressure and make synthesis of complex situations;

• Rigor and tenacity;

• Fluency in English;

• Pilot experience would be a plus.
