Pay Rate: $37.58 to $45.01 per hour
Are you passionate about additive manufacturing and aerospace innovation? PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled Additive Manufacturing and Prototyping Equipment & Tool Designer Technician Contractor to join our dynamic team in Tukwila, WA. In this role, you will play a critical part in post-processing SLA (Stereolithography) parts, ensuring high-quality finishes and functional performance for cutting-edge aerospace projects.
What Youll Do:Post-process SLA parts, including support removal, UV curing, surface smoothing, and final finishing.
Apply manual and machine finishing techniques, such as sanding, bead blasting, and polishing, to enhance part aesthetics and functionality.
Utilize adhesives, primers, and coatings to improve part durability and appearance.
Operate and maintain additive manufacturing equipment, including SLA, SLS, PolyJet, FDM, and DMLS systems.
Develop and document post-processing workflows for SLA and other additive technologies.
Work directly with customers to optimize designs for manufacturability and post-processing efficiency.
What Were Looking For:Basic Qualifications:Hands-on experience with post-processing of SLA and other AM parts.
Proficiency in using hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
Understanding of adhesives, paints, and surface finishing techniques for AM materials.
Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail in post-processing quality control.
Ability to read and interpret 2D/3D CAD drawings for post-processing requirements.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license
Preferred Qualifications:Experience in additive manufacturing, prototyping, and part design.
Background in spray painting and finishing models or assemblies.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced R&D environment.
Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with both internal teams and customers.
Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Education & Experience:Technical Associate Degree with 1+ years of relevant work experience, OR
Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of related work experience.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. Regular and predictable attendance is required.
Pay Details: $37.58 to $45.01 per hour
