Morson Edge is recruiting for a B1.3 Licensed Aircraft Engineer to support a major rotary-wing operation at RAF Shawbury.

Supporting one of the UK’s most important military helicopter training programmes, this role offers the opportunity to work on a modern helicopter fleet within a highly professional aviation environment. As a certifying engineer, you will carry out maintenance, inspections, repairs, and certification activities across the H135 and H145 fleet, ensuring continued airworthiness and operational readiness.

You will also provide technical guidance to maintenance fitters and support the efficient operation of the maintenance facility.

• Certify maintenance and repair activities on rotary aircraft

• Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance inspections

• Perform fault diagnosis, repairs, modifications, and component replacement

• Complete maintenance on airframe, powerplant, mechanical, and electrical systems

• Replace avionic line replaceable units and perform associated serviceability testing

• Supervise maintenance fitters and certify completed work

• Ensure compliance with Part 145, Part M, and applicable regulatory requirements

• Assist with aircraft movements and day-to-day hangar operations

• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and certification records

• Support safe and efficient aircraft operations at all times

• Part 66 B1.3 Licence

• Thorough knowledge of rotary aircraft engine and airframe systems

• Experience within aircraft maintenance and certification environments

• Strong understanding of aviation regulations and airworthiness requirements

• Ability to supervise maintenance activities and work independently when required

Applications are welcomed from engineers with extensive rotary maintenance experience who are actively working towards completion of their Part 66 B1.3 Licence.

• H135 and/or H145 experience

• Military aviation experience

• Knowledge of rotary training operations

• Previous experience within Part 145 environments
