Job Description SummaryAs part of Avio Aero Combustor Quality team, the Quality Engineer assure that a product or service is provided with high level of quality contributing to establish a robust & effective process that meets all quality requirements, both external and internal.
The role requires to have a clear understanding of the Customer requirements, manufacturing process and Inspection methods to ensure on time delivery with high quality standards. In addition, in this technical position the Quality Engineer support the team responsible for identifying and leading cross-functional projects to drive product quality and productivity improvement in manufacturing processes. This resource will collaborate with global engineering, supplier quality and supply chain teams to analyze data, identify root causes and implement solutions for manufacturing quality issues.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Actively support all activities related to product validation (First Article Inspection; Validation Package collection and verification, etc.).
Participate in the refinement of Process FMEA’s
Process review: Procedure review/gap analysis
Follows up the related action plan until all corrective actions have been implemented and the Lesson Learnt institutionalized
Non-Conformity Management; Preliminary review member, KPI tracking and reporting for Preliminary Review/Preliminary Quality Notifications/Quality Notifications.
Support all RCCA (Root Causes and Corrective Actions) activities through a cross functional team to accomplish to the internal procedures to contain the customer claims, find root cause and corrective action, make the risk assessment and standardize through Lesson Learnt /FMEA.
Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes.
Daily Meetings with Mfg/Qual/Eng teams Standard Work; Daily MRB (Material Review Board) activity involvement; Support to Inspection Dept. and Mfg Dept.
Qualifications/Requirements
Masters degree in Mechanic and/or Aerospace and/or Management Engineering
Understanding of working principles of aviation propulsion systems.
Mechanical aptitude (i.e. understanding of mechanical processes).
Knowledge of technical drawings
Knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Word, Excel and Power Point
Fluent in Italian and English
Work Visa, in according with local regulation, is required
Desired Characteristics

Ability to work effectively with cross-functional work groups
Knowledge of materials used for the aviation industry.
General knowledge of main quality problem solving tools (e.g. Ishikawa diagram, 5Wx3L, Pareto Diagrams, Control Charts, Gage R&R, etc.).
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Able to coordinate many tasks concurrently
Experience abroad will be considered as a plus
Passion for the Aviation industry
