The Control Systems Lead Engineer within Controls, Accessories and Marine engineering section, is considered a lead role within the business. You are expected to be an individual with deep technical capability within controls system with a strong emphasis on applications. The successful candidate is expected to take ownership of the control system design, development and validation to meet detailed customer needs.Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities
Driving with high degree of autonomy the identification and consolidation of requirements for the Controls System by applying control theory and mathematical modeling
Define, develop and validate architectural and functional concepts to implement the previously identified requirements on system and subsystem level
Master control theory and mathematical modeling to design and control systems with desired behaviors
Ensure adherence to GE’s development process including support for internal and external process audits
Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules and contract commitments
Coordination with the SW team in implementing the concepts in software
Qualifications/Requirements
Master’s degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, automation technology or a comparable subject
Extensive experience in system design in highly complex control systems in the industrial, automotive, medical, or aerospace sectors
Proven experience with system engineering principles, e.g. V-lifecycle process including requirements engineering, Model
Based System Engineering (MBSE) methods, tools, validation & verification principles (keywords: DOORS, SCADE, MatlabSimulink, Synergy, Python, NPSS, C++)
Understanding of engine and propeller controls principles
Fluency in Italian and English
Work Visa, according to local regulation, is required.

Documented exposure to the Aviation Regulation & Standard
