Position Summary
Summary
Reporting to the Mechanical Design Group Team Leader, the successful candidate will have an engineering background in the aerospace or automotive industry and would have been ideally involved in the design and certification of composite structures.

- Design aerospace composite and hybrid structures using 3D CAD software.
- Produce detailed engineering drawings to define designs.
- Work as part of an integrated project team to ensure customers’ requirements are met.
- Create certification/qualification plans including QTPs and QTRs.
Qualifications

- An education to degree/HND level in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
- Demonstration of competence in the design of fibre reinforced composite materials.
- Familiar with aerospace composite design methodologies and best practice.
- Proficient in the use of CAD systems, preferably CATIA V5.
- Good communication, report writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to work within a small team with a willingness to learn.
