Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) Sector has an opening for a Regional Director Facilities Engineering 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals onsite in Baltimore, MD. The Director will be responsible for leadership of a large geographically dispersed organization across the continental US encompassing sites in CA, MD, VA, FL, OH, NC, TX, NY, MS, CO locations. Facility functional and technical leadership responsibilities include infrastructure engineering, project management and regional space planning.

What Youll Get to Do:

Responsibilities and duties to include but are not limited to:

  • Planning, risk management, and project performance addressing cost, schedule, and technical quality for related Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) elements on multiple large scale capital construction projects or full responsibility for all aspects of program performance on a large technical services-type contract.

  • Development and adherence to Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).

  • Plans, designs and oversees the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.

  • Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.

  • Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.

  • Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.

  • Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.

  • Inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.

  • Directs the facilities activities of multiple sites through several department managers.

  • Determines and establishes organizational structures and supervisory relationships.

  • Drives team performance based on data & analytics.

  • Uniformity and standard practices across all sites to create group continuity.

  • Conducts briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives.

  • Lead and provide direct guidance to a project management homeroom organization.

  • Lead an overall space planning home room for the region.

  • Up to 25 travel to visit other Mission Systems sites within the portfolio.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years OR a Masters Degree with 8+ years of facilities, manufacturing, engineering, programs, business management, operations and/or related experience.

  • Proven financial, schedule, subcontract management, technical performance, and execution experience.

  • Strong knowledge of classified construction and manufacturing.

  • Previous experience managing maintenance trades and facilities operations.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience working in collaboration across multiple organizations, contracts, and/or customer relationships.

  • Experience managing geographically dispersed teams.

  • US Citizenship.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Top Secret/SCI level clearance with full scope poly is required after starting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in all areas of Facilities Engineering operations.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with the Executive Leadership Team.

  • Ability to develop and present material outside the immediate work function.

  • Proven positive impact on employee engagement activities across program and functional organizations.

  • Strong knowledge of data centers and clean rooms.

  • Experience supporting multiple different review teams.

  • Familiar with a variety of aerospace and/or similar industry production equipment and manufacturing facilities infrastructure.

  • Experience with CAD/3D design and/or ability to read and interpret blueprints.

  • An active DoD Top Secret level clearance with full scope poly.

Salary Range: $181,900 - $272,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
