Position Summary
Creates and modifies 3D models of tooling components and assemblies, modified floor plan layouts. Coordinates production change requests with engineering drawing changes. Controls new drawing issuance. Maintains control of tooling drawings.
Responsibilities
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Prepares scaled, detailed drawings of tooling and components per rough sketches and designs, written instructions, physical measurements, etc.
2. Creates and modifies 3D Model, prepares detailed drawings for internal and external customers using CAD software, plotters, and blueprint machines.
3. Alters Tooling & floor plan layouts and detailed drawings as required and initiates appropriate documentation of changes made.
4. Creates and maintains detailed drawings in accordance with specific standards and established procedures.
5. Performs document control duties related to tooling drawings.
6. Creates tooling worksheets and operation instructions.
7. Uses precision measuring equipment, comparator and coordinate measuring machine.
8. Completes related paperwork as required. Includes change notices, entries in drawing register, and requisitions for supplies and materials.
9. Keeps work area neat, clean, organized, and under control.
10. Is responsible for quality and safety of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies.

Qualifications
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
Required: High school education with courses in mathematics, shop practices, and drafting. Also, two yearsexperience in drafting.Preferred: Vocational or technical degree plus three to four years of work experience.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Proficient with CAD equipment and measurement equipment such as micrometers, calipers, etc. as well aspersonal computers and applicable software, including Microsoft Office and Windows. Position requiresknowledge of the application of filters.
