Job Description SummaryAs a process development engineer at GE Additive, you will be a part of a tight team of application and material experts to develop the Electron Beam Melting (EBM) process. You will be a key player in customer and development projects and interact with many other disciplines to successfully bring the technology to the market.

The Mölnlycke site is the Center of Excellens for the EBM technology. The state-of-the-art machines are designed by our engineering teams, manufactured in Sweden/Germany, and used worldwide to produce medical implants, turbine blades etc. The EBM division of GE Additive has the benefit of the smaller agile company with the muscles of GE Aerospace. Roles and Responsibilities
- Optimize process parameter settings for established materials for EBM machines
- Qualify material processes for release (existing and new materials)
- Material lab work such as tensile testing and microscopy
- Develop and evaluate melt process tools (software as well as hardware)
- Improve our internal work process as well as quality assurance process
- Excel in operating our EBM machines
- Be part of development projects in cross-functional teams from low to high TRL
- Be part of customer projects
Required Qualifications
- M.Sc. in Physics or Material Engineering
- 0-5 years’ work experience
- Basic programming skill (e.g., python scripting to gain insights from raw data)
- Oral and written communication skills in English
