Job Description SummaryThe Electrical Components Designer is responsible to drive design solutions and implementation for components and subsystems of the Electrical System for both full authority-based (e.g. FADEC) and hybrid electric-based propulsion systems; to look after the requirements flow down from Electrical System to Electrical Components Level; to liaise with independent organization or suppliers to provide technical and programmatic guidance on components and subsystems design, validation and technology accrual plan outlining and execution and to perform, with limited guidance, analysis and evaluation of the third parties’ deliverables compliance with product/program requirements and business standards, practices and procedures.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
To develop and document electronic and electrical components, and subsystems requirements and designs relevant, but not limited, to engine sensors and accessories.
To carry out trade-off and performance analysis and validation studies aiming at drawing the optimal electrical components architectural solutions.
To support testing and validation activities, based on technology accrual and product development plans, of electrical components and subsystems, up to the final stages of the Electrical System Integration, to assure the operational and functional requirements compliance with product/program requirements.
To liaise with the appointed Avio Aero or GE Aerospace engineering team stakeholders in the execution of the project development, product definition, technology maturation activities.
To contribute to suppliers steering and performance monitoring to ensure the overall Propulsion System integration and compliance with the intended functions.
To contribute to the formulation and implementation of plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules and contract commitments.
To contribute to technical and program reviews.
Qualifications / Requirements
Master of Science in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or Aerospace Engineering.
Well trained in Electrical System Engineering (mainly sensors and electrical accessories).
Proficiency in written and oral English and Italian
Good Knowledge of Electrical modelling and CAD tools.
Work VISA, according to local regulation, is required.
