Position Summary

The Hardware Engineer 2 will have a minimum of 3+ years of electronic circuits and systems design, integration and testing experience. Knowledge of RF systems or motor drives and controls is desirable. Experience with the use of test equipment, such as oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, DMMs, and signal generators. Knowledge of project engineering methods and troubleshooting techniques for electronic circuitry. Knowledge of test report and procedure generation. Familiar with one or more of the following: OrCAD, MATLAB, LabView, and/or VHDL.

Essential Functions:

•    Will be required to work independently and with interdepartmental teams.•    Will be required to assist in the design and development of electronic systems.•    Will be required to write or assist in the development of test plans and test procedures.•    Will be required to assist in the automation of relevant test procedures and/or design and development of test fixtures.•    Will be required to assist in lab and field tests of electronic systems•    Must have training with one or more of the following:     •    Digital Signal Processing (DSP)     •    RF Circuit Design     •    Analog Circuit Design     •    Digital Electronics Design     •    FPGA Design     •    Algorithm Development (Pattern Recognition and Object Tracking)     •    LabView Automated Test Stand Design

Qualifications:

•    Must be a US Citizen•    Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering; 3+ years related experience and/or training. Master degree in Electrical Engineering related field or an MBA is considered a plus.•    Experience and training in the Military/Aerospace Industry is desirable.•    Professional and/or technical certifications from accredited educational and vocational institutions desired.•    Strong oral/written communication skills.•    Excellent organizational skills.•    Advanced troubleshooting skills required.•    Familiarity with AS9100 is desirable.•    Eligibility to obtain a DoD Security Clearance is a plus.•    May be required to travel occasionally. 

The wage range for this role considers allowances for a number of factors, including but not limited to required experience, skill level, prior training, licensure/certifications, education and other business needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $81,226 - $131,131.
