BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, aerospace engineering, or similar STEM discipline
- 1+ year of experience working on hardware focused controls, electrical, or software engineering projects (including student engineering projects or internship experience)
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, communicate effectively, and work both independently and within a team
- Experience with hands-on troubleshooting and debugging of mechanical or electrical hardware
- Any of the following is a bonus:
- Experience with the design and analysis of closed loop control systems
- Experience with the design and troubleshooting of PCBAs
- Experience applying quality tools such as design of experiments, statistical process control, root cause analysis and corrective action, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and various problem-solving approaches to difficult real-world problems
- Proficiency with programming and automation/scripting languages (Python, C, C++, SQL)
- Experience with business reporting software (Tableau, Periscope, PowerBI, etc.)
- Fluency with languages in addition to English
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Willing to travel 10-15% of the time
- Willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:
Electrical Test Engineer/Level I: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00/per year
Electrical Test Engineer/Level II: $115,000.00 - $135,000.00/per year
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
