Job Description:

Summary:
The individual(s) will be responsible for the setup, support and improvement of MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) product lines; encompassing aircraft power generation and power distribution components.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•tExecute on behalf of the repair station per Title 14 CFR Parts 21, 43, 121 and 145.
•tAdvise, direct, and train MRO personnel in repair and test techniques / methods.
•tReview maintenance manuals and related documents to establish repair capabilities per the applicable product standard, FAA or EASA regulation and the established technical evaluation procedures.
•tDevelop repair and testing supplementary documentation to be used by Operations personnel.
•tWork closely with Operations and Quality to ensure repair and testing processes are performed in accordance with Safran Quality documents and return to service criteria.
•tDesign, modify, and prototype tooling needed for maintenance of aircraft electromechanical and hydraulic products.
•tSpecify, develop and modify test equipment for various aircraft components.
•tContinuously improve production efficiency and quality to meet key metrics.
•tDraft and assist in creating major (DER) repairs and PMA submittals.
•tCommunicate technical data issues to the design authority and ensure updates are completed.
•tWork seamlessly with offsite engineering team for support and approval when necessary.
•tPerform other duties as assigned.
•tRegular, predictable attendance is required.
•tMust be willing to work overtime as necessary.
Job Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:
•\tBachelor's Degree in Electrical or a related Engineering discipline from an accredited institution
•\t1 year of experience as an Electrical Engineer.
Knowledge/skills:
•\tAbility to read, interpret and apply Engineering Standards.
•\tExperience with electrical equipment, hydraulic equipment, turbines and/or aerospace equipment.
•\tStrong ability to use electronics laboratory equipment, i.e. multimeter, oscilloscope, soldering iron, etc.
•\tUnderstanding of various machining and manufacturing processes.
•\tStrong ability to collect and interpret data to troubleshoot and problem solve.
•\tAbility to read and create electrical schematics.
•\tStrong understanding of electromechanical systems.

Preferred Qualifications:
•\tDirect or indirect knowledge of FAA part 145 Capability evaluation experience.
•\tExperience with CAD for 3D modeling, drafting, and circuit diagram creation.
•\tExperience with Configuration Control and PLM systems.
•\tExperience with NI LabVIEW, PLC, DAQ hardware and general PID / automation processes
•\tExperience with aircraft starters, generators, transform rectifiers, generator control units, power distribution panels, and ram air turbines.
•\tFamiliarity with one or more - 14 CFR Parts 21, 43, 121 and 145.

Physical Demands:
Sitting 50%/ Standing 25%/ Walking & lifting 25% (up to 25 lbs)

Work Environment:
Equal split between office work and working on the shop floor with production technicians.
