Engineer- Data Sr

Contract Position

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business partners to identify challenges, generate solutions, and establish target state architecture through rapid prototyping.
- Define, publish, and communicate enterprise data strategy, standards, architectures, and frameworks to facilitate data sharing across the organization.
- Partner with architecture teams to design secure, scalable, and observable data solutions with a focus on operational excellence.
- Apply cutting-edge research and industry trends to develop enterprise data solutions for data consumers.
- Be a hands-on architect, building prototypes and experimenting with architectural alternatives.
- Manage and govern enterprise data models, including the development of conceptual, logical, and physical models for batch and streaming architectures.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Clearance:Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), or legally admitted as a refugee or granted asylum.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise data architecture, including cloud-native environments, design patterns, and delivery acceleration.
- 5+ years of advanced SQL and scripting (Python/PySpark) development.
- 3+ years of data solutions for Analytical, Operational, Data Science, and Machine Learning data flows.
- 2+ years working with cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., Databricks, Redshift).
- 2+ years of experience with taxonomies, ontologies, and data governance.
- Experience with HR data modeling and Workday is required.
- Familiarity with Master Data Management (MDM) practices.
- Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related analytical field.
- Experience with data modeling tools such as DBT
