ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an Engineering (Expert Technical) Support Professional to provide technical and administrative support to our field service technicians who install, maintain, and troubleshoot complex process control and industrial combustion systems. This role is based in our Brook Park, OH office and follows a hybrid work model, offering flexibility between remote and in-office work (after 90 days).
As a key liaison between field service teams, engineering, and customers, you will be responsible for processing service data, researching and diagnosing technical issues, and ensuring technicians have the necessary resources to resolve field challenges efficiently. Your expertise in process control or combustion systems will be essential in troubleshooting, documentation, and operational improvements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide remote support to field service technicians by researching and diagnosing issues related to process control and industrial combustion systems.
- Analyze and process large volumes of service data, including system performance metrics, troubleshooting logs, and maintenance records.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including service manuals, troubleshooting guides, and best practices.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
- Assist in scheduling, coordinating, and tracking field service activities to optimize technician efficiency.
- Support warranty claims, service reports, and compliance documentation.
- Identify trends in system failures and recommend process improvements to enhance service efficiency.
- Communicate with customers and internal teams to provide updates on service requests and technical resolutions.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Honeywells automation and combustion products to support field teams effectively.
- May travel occasionally to assist at the customer sites.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- 5+ years of experience in engineering or technical support.
- Complex Database management experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
WE VALUE
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with Honeywell or similar automation/control system technologies.
- Knowledge of remote diagnostics tools and service management software.
- SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) experience.
- Strong analytical skills with experience handling and interpreting large datasets.
- Proficiency in technical troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
