What are your contributions to the team?
- Act as the Cabinet Engineering focal with between Bombardier multi-disciplinary teams and suppliers.
- Prepare different types of Engineering documentation to support start of design activities.
- Define technical requirements and participate in strategic planning.
- Help supplier to understand and follow BA processes and best practices.
- Find & propose opportunities for product & process improvement (cycle time reduction, ease of production, weight reduction etc.)
- Review specifications for accuracy across documentations
- Be mindful of project potential technical issues (critical designs, risks etc.)
- Support Program Change Requests (PCR). Coordinate technical integration meetings, analyze, and define technical proposals to meet program needs.
- Participate in aircrafts go & see in production to assess build or installation issues.
- Communicate efficiently with colleagues, cross functional teams, and upper management.
- Validate certification documents as required to ensure design comply with regulations.
- Act as a technical leader and transfer knowledge through coaching/mentoring within your larger team.
•How to thrive in this role? Skills, knowledge & experience:
- You have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- You have more than 10 years relevant technical experience in aircraft interiors completions. Cabinet experience is an asset.
- You have solid experience with Catia/Enovia and Teamcenter/NX (GSD, Assy, Part Body, Drafting, etc.)
- You are well organized and focused on projects.
- You have the ability to understand complex engineering issues and are innovative in problem solving.
- You have good oral and written communication skills in French and English.
- You like to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team, you adapt easily to changes, and customer satisfaction is your number one priority.
- You can understand complex engineering issues and are innovative in problem solving.
- You must be a self-motivated person, a team player able to work under pressure and under a minimum of supervision.
- You also demonstrate an excellent track record of meeting your commitments with success.
