Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Summer 2025 Intern. In this role, you will drive new uses of state-of-the-art technology to revolutionize how our employees health and safety is maintained, our operations meet or exceed regulatory compliance, and our sustainability goals are developed and achieved. You will work closely with site Environmental, Safety and Health Engineering teams to perform duties such as: Identify hazardous workplace conditions and takes preliminary samples and measurements of hazardous forces and toxic substances. Remove hazards to protects employees by guarding, revising work procedures, and training or requiring use of protective clothing and personal protective equipment. Take effective steps to ensure that workplace conditions comply with applicable federal and state occupational safety and health standard provisions. Ensure that all required records are prepared and maintained. Participate in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspections and in any procedures that may follow a citation. Investigates, prepares, and forwards as required reports on injuries and fatalities. Participative Ergonomics. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills with a customer-focused approach. The primary focus of this position is to provide technical Safety and Health support to the Operations team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a challenging business environment and gain experience working for a large company. Must be a US Citizen.
Basic Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Industrial Hygiene, Chemical, Safety, Environmental Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college
- Knowledge of manufacturing and industrial processes through course work
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be a US Citizen

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
