Job Summary

Develops, manages, and executes project plans for construction projects for new facilities and expansions to existing facilities to meet safety, regulatory, customer, and internal requirements within schedule and cost parameters. Serves as main interface with regulatory agencies, government boards, and subcontractors and provides on site leadership and guidance. Drives team to meet construction schedule and monitor progress. Provides executive summaries on project status to internal and external customers. Leads, manages and directs the development and enablement of all internal and customer requirements to successfully launch and execute project through the launch of a new facility/expansion of existing facilities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develops and manages project plans, milestones, and deliverables, including satisfaction of scope requirements, cost/budget adherence, schedule management, risk evaluation and mitigation, and quality management through ensuring that customers and business requirements are fulfilled in projects.  
  • Accountable for strict adherence to the schedule, budgets, quality and safety standards associated with assigned projects.
  • Informs project teams, business customers, and management project updates with a focus on facilitating effective planning and oversight of projects, establishes collaborative and strong relationships with operational leaders and decision makers throughout the organization to promote the practice of sound project management principles.
  • Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with all the sub-teams including contractors & preform periodic inspection of construction sites. Assists Facility Security Officer (FSO) and other staff with customer security approval process as it relates to project construction and facility.
  • Schedules and directs project meetings/teleconferences to monitor progress, implement procedures, ensure compliance with specifications and standards, and ensure safety procedures are being followed. Prepares and presents progress reporting of project costs and schedules at required intervals.
  • Builds strong relationships with sub contractors and 3rd parties to support the project goals and effectively communicates and drives to resolution any issues or concerns affecting the project
  • Demonstrates strong problem solving, analytical thinking, and decision making skills. Develops solutions to critical business issues and presents alternatives. Effectively communicates issues and recommends strategies and tactics.
Job Requirements:
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Construction Science, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • 5 years of experience managing construction as a project manager, with experience with NPI (New Product Introduction), a start-up facility, and/or a work transfer in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Manufacturing Engineering in aerospace.
  • US Person per US DOD & ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Has experience with NPI (New Product Introduction), a start-up facility, and/or a work transfer in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Manufacturing Engineering in aerospace.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in addition to demonstrated commitment to customer service, supervision, estimating, safety and quality.
  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) License desired
  • Aerospace manufacturing construction experience 
  • Project Management Professional preferred
  • Experience in construction supervision and/or management
  • Knowledge of commercial construction means and methods, the candidate should have experience with office and industrial manufacturing projects including new construction in a complex environment.  
  • Industrial construction experience of manufacturing facilities to include large move and relocation of such facilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling
  • Strong analytical skills to assess critical path, project progress and potential impacts on overall project schedule. Identifies and anticipates technical problems and offers solutions.
  • Sets challenging goals by identifying possible ways to improve performance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interface effectively with team members, some located remotely, to communicate project plan and receive updates to maintain the project schedule
  • Experience of transformational projects in a manufacturing environment or complex launch projects
Compensation Data

Compensation Range: $111,045.00 - $138,807.00
