We want you to be a part of the RMS Global Sustainment - Integrated Warfare and Sensor Systems (IWSS) Field Engineering Team. This position requires an experienced Field Engineer with demonstrated technical skills across a broad range of electronic architectures. Our organization desires critical and analytical thinkers who can effectively function in a team leadership role and successfully accomplish field engineering tasks independently or as part of a dynamic team. Although most work will be associated with military combat and/or radar systems, the opportunity to support other equipment/systems also exists.
Selected candidate will be responsible for providing installation support of equipment including engineering modifications and upgrades; performing equipment/system repair; performing the assembly, integration, and test of equipment/systems, accomplishing cabinet level or cable/connector fabrication, and performing daily coordination and communication with IWSS leadership, integrated product teams, as well as other key program stakeholders and customer representatives (both internal and external to Lockheed Martin).
The candidate’s designated work location can be either be in the Virginia Beach or San Diego facilities, but he/she must also be able to travel on an as-required basis to provide support onboard ships, submarines, and land based facilities as necessary. Domestic and international travel is anticipated with assignments lasting between a few days to a few months in duration. Annual travel may exceed 50.

Basic Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts, as they relate to Field Engineering. This includes fault isolation, diagnostics, the removal and replacement of line replaceable units (LRUs), and in the repair of electrical / hydraulic / mechanical systems.

Candidates must have experience in performing engineering change modifications and upgrades to electronic systems, coupled with the ability to conduct technical analysis of product implementations, modifications, and enhancements to product in accordance with specific company and/or customer specifications.

Candidates must exhibit the interpersonal/soft skills needed to successfully serve in multiple field services roles centered on customer service. Whether actively serving in a team lead role, participating as a highly functioning team member, or more importantly traveling independently to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems in order to successfully serve as a valuable representative to our organization during customer engagements, events, and/or briefings.
Desired Skills:
Technical engineering degree and / or military background.

Comp TIA A+, Linux, Unix certifications and/or network configuration experience.

Good computer skills to include Microsoft Office products and internet navigation capabilities.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $71,000 - $136,000. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as spanet and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $81,600 - $153,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
