Job Description SummaryThe Intern (ETIP) for Fuel Components group for commercial and aeroderivatives programs is responsible for successful execution of the work coordinated by their Technical Lead. The Intern will support the Technical Lead and Fluid Engineers by helping to execute and complete all work related to their ownership of hardware. This position pertains to Fuel Components (e.g. Pumps, Electro-Hydraulic Controls, Valves, Air Turbine Starters) belonging to the commercial and aeroderivatives family of engines at General Electric.Job Description
Roles and Responsabilities
- Perform all tasks assigned by the Tech Lead or assigned supervising Engineer. Support Tech Lead with regards to the cost, schedule, and technical performance of the work packages.
- Participate in actual design, development and execution of our products.
- Participate in field investigations and field performance evaluations.
- Support team for the execution of manufacturing support.
- Be an ambassador to the local university.
- Learn GE Aviation and Industrial processes, tools and procedures
Requirements and Qualifications
- Mechanical, mechatronic or Aeronautic Engineer in the last 6 semesters of their career.
- Assimilate data and act decisively, but in a collaborative manner.
- Work in a distributed/multi-site environment and under a matrixed responsibility organization.
- Provide a professional interface to both internal and external customers.
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
