The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for defined work or projects with increasing complexity level. In this role he/she will follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. He/she will be requested to understand and develop technical concepts, methods, and procedures in order to define the manufacturing processes of aeronautic gearboxes.Job Description
Essential responsibilities
Improve process after a 6sigma analysis (DMAIC Methods)
Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment.
Execute routine analyses using vested methods and technologies and/or contributes to technological developments.
Review manufacturing routers and raw material procurement to identify opportunities to reduce final product cost without any negative impact on Quality
Collaborate with Shop floor employees to reach the capacity set in the OP to fulfill program needs
Support the shop activities and Product Quality dept. solving technical problems detected in the production area
Issue internal technical documentation supporting the shop activities (work order, work type, inspection record card, operation sheet part program VT etc.) in accordance with drawing requirements, Quality and Customer requirements.
Increase programs profitability of current programs in accordance with business strategies
Qualifications/Requirements
MSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other faculty within the Industrial Engineering family
Fluent English and Italian, oral and written
Knowledge of transmission architectures and relevant gear process technical requirements, design solutions, technologies, validation/certification approach
Knowledge of metal machining technologies
Knowledge of mass finishing process
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
Previous experience in a similar role in complex industrial context
Knowledge of CAD/CAM and SAP
Work visa in accordance with local regulation is required
