Gearbox Gear&Shaft Design Engineer

Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities

• Strengthen technical knowledge on gears  system for aeronautical gearbox

• Capture system requirements, flow-down to components definition identifying relevant validation needs;

• Contribute to identify and develop design solutions scoring them and down-selecting the optimal one to achieve product performance/cost/weight.

• Contribute to identify and develop design solutions scoring them and down-selecting the optimal one to achieve product performance/cost/weight.

• Coordinate and perform design and analysis activities on the components;

• Issue technical documents relative to the components design according to engineering policies and procedures (drawings, presentations as well as analysis reports);

• Contribute and participate as a presenter in technical and program reviews;

• Perform and support source technological substantiation process as design owner and non-conformances assessments as Avio Aero MRB approver.

• Proactively support and coordinate activities with Manufacturing/Sourcing/Quality and Suppliers to implement product improvements (e.g. concurrent design, cost-out activities);

• Support activities related to development findings, components performance and investigations (e.g. test requests and data postprocess, laboratories investigation);

• Support Certification activities

• Master Degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited university

• Knowledge of Mechanical principles

• Experience with CAD tools (e.g. Unigraphics NX) and ability to adapt to in-house analysis tools

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes for rotating components

• Clear thinking, diligent approach, target oriented

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• English and Italian language knowledge, both written and oral.

• Work Visa, according to local regulation, is required
