As a Hardware Engineer II here at Honeywell Intelligrated (IGS), you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge hardware solutions for Loop Sorters. You will play a critical role in the hardware design process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and reliable products. You will report directly to our LSS Engineering Supervisor and you will work out of our Mason, OH location on a hybrid work schedule.
There will be some travel to Frederick, MD during onboarding and initial training.
The Loop Sorter team is part of our larger material handling equipment and sortation group at Honeywell Intelligrated (IGS). RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and drive the hardware design process for Loop Sorters
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define hardware requirements and specifications
- Design and develop complex hardware systems, including schematic capture and PCB layout
- Perform hardware testing and validation to ensure product performance and reliability
Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers - Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies

MUST HAVE
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
- 3+ years of experience in hardware design and development
- Strong knowledge of hardware design principles and methodologies
- Proficiency in schematic capture, PCB layout tools, and PCB manufacturing process
- Experience with hardware testing and validation, manipulation of Gerber files
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
