The Work
This position is for Manager of Digital Hardware Engineering, as part of the Sensors and Effectors Integrated Engineering functional organization. The manager will report directly to the Senior Manager, Sensor Digital Design Department and will be responsible to achieve business commitments. The Manager in this role will:

• Provide technical, programmatic, and administrative leadership to a group of 20+ engineers of varying experience levels
• Direct team to ensure successful Design, Implementation and test of complex Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs), subassemblies, Mission Critical enclosure designs, and all other supporting hardware supporting end-item product lines
• Execute subsystem level integration and test activities including Engineering Integration & Test of digital Hardware and Software Products as well as Formal Qualification testing of Hardware and Software Requirements Specifications, for multiple programs that span the Lockheed Martin RMS lines of business
• Coordinate subordinate employee recruitment, selection, training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, recognition and disciplinary actions
• Oversee the design, development, documentation, Integration, and testing of embedded control and digital signal processor products
• Lead and ensure that the appropriate standards, processes, procedures throughout the hardware development life cycle will be followed
• Create and maintain staffing plans, coordinate staffing forecasts, recruit and hire to develop the proper skill level mix for the group
• Oversee team’s driving of HW design implementation, simulation, proper design reviews, test verification, prototyping, transition to production, and coordination with other facets/dependencies of the programs
• Be the moderator for CCA and cabinet design reviews when needed, support programs and step in when technical or planning consultation is needed to help achieve milestones or to remedy high level tasks that need assistance
• Ensure hardware design use and follow the proper design guidelines and processes, and is oversee for formal release and design sign-offs

Basic Qualifications:
• Technical undergraduate degree with direct professional experience required.
• Demonstrated competency in managing cross disciplinary teams.
• Must have excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and be able to communicate at both programmatic and technical levels with direct reports, senior management level, and the customer.
• Must have the ability to obtain & maintain a SECRET level security clearance.
Desired Skills:
• Technical graduate degree is highly desirable.
• Proven leader with domain expertise in managing hardware across programs and through the life cycle
• Experience in career development and mentoring/coaching of engineers
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
