As Helicopter and Transmissions NPI Programs Staff Engineer you will join the NPI Program Management Team based in Rivalta.
In this role you will provide technical and managerial support during New Program launch and the execution of the development phases.
You will define program development plans throughout the Supply Chain, coordinating all the Product Centers and the functions involved (Quality, Sourcing, Manufacturing Engineering departments) and being the Supply Chain primary interface for the Program Manager and the Engineering team.
The goals of this role will be for you to create and execute plans matching the program milestones, reaching the required Production Readiness and controlling the product cost as well as the Supply Chain related development costs.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Provide leadership and technical direction for specific programs with significant business impact
Establish plan, define tasks and objectives and identify resources/funding source
Manage the program, provide interim reports to customer, modify plan as required
Provide counsel to the team on design and manufacturing/process practices and standards
Coordinate and support the Supply Chain departments and the involved plants in the execution of the activities required by the development plan
Ensure development, implementation, and maintenance of technical operating plans, matching the program delivery milestones, the industrialization targets, the product quality, the capability and capacity needs
Effectively communicate and influence partnership programs, interactions, and relationships
Support processes to improve efficiencies of the team
Responsible for reporting-out frequently on the status of initiatives, and client business performance
Qualifications/Requirements
Engineering Master’s degree
Previous experience in New Product Introduction multi-year development projects/programs
Proven ability to guide and lead others in a matrix environment
Prior program/project management experience
Technical competence on products and processes, obtained in Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Production Engineering Previous experience
Availability to travel as needed to support the Business
Italian and Fluent English language, oral and written
Work Visa and Italian citizenship, according to local regulation, are required

Ability to manage complex multi-year technical programs in a matrix resource environment
Previous experience leading multi-discipline engineering/technical teams
Strong influencing skills in a global environment
Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
Strong process discipline with sound analytic and statistical skills
Know-how in APQP/AS13100 and LEAN principles and methods
Change oriented – actively generates process improvements, champions and drives change initiatives, confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways, balances multiple and competing priorities and executes accordingly
