Assist the Facilities management team with developing and completing current projects throughout the campus. Evaluate, verify and update building/facility drawings. Interface with cross functional teams in the development of project goals, scopes, and action plans.
Assist with Facilities continuous process improvement projects, preventive maintenance, and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) tasks and initiatives.
Provide detailed drawings for construction or modifications of facilities.
Assist in troubleshooting, assessing, and solving facilities engineering methods and process problems
Prepare, verify, and update work instructions and related documentation
Participate in team meetings to gain technical knowledge and functional collaboration techniques
Provide technical and administrative support as required with department tasks and initiatives.
Occasionally coordinates with inter-departmental partners to assure smooth flow of information.
Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
Currently enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university. Rising Sophomore standing in related engineering degree major preferred.
Strong academic record in good standing with a preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Conscientious self-starter with good organizational skills, project management skills and attention to detail
Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities, must be able to multi-task
Strong interpersonal communication and ability to collaborate with teams; must effectively operate independently, across functional lines, and with internal customers
Demonstrated personal initiative, self-motivation, flexibility, adaptability and willingness to learn
Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings
Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted
Excellent problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
Working proficiency in Computer Aided Drafting (AutoCAD experience a plus)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
None required although related education, trade, or regulatory certifications preferred.
