• Location: Friedrichshafen

• Start: Immediately 

• Duration: 3-6 months

The project environment:

The specific project involves the development of software for the planning of mobile facilities, such as mobile hospitals. These facilities consist of a modular system of containers and tents with comprehensive infrastructure and are designed for use in crisis and disaster areas. As part of the internship, further parts of the existing 2D planning software will be converted to a 3D environment or newly developed. The Unity development environment will be used for this.

The location

At the Airbus site in Friedrichshafen, you work on innovative projects while others are on vacation. Enjoy the panoramic view of Lake Constance during your lunch break. Your tasks and responsibilities

• Development/improvement of selected parts of an existing 3D simulator in Unity

• Extension of the graphical user interface

• Development of a suitable data management system to combine the planning process and 3D simulation.

Desired skills and qualifications

• You are currently studying computer science, media informatics, media design, game design or similar in a Bachelor&39;s/Master&39;s program.

• Programming skills in C for Unity 

• Programming skills in SQL (optional)

• Working with source management systems (SVN, GIT)

• Basic knowledge of 3D modeling (e.g. Blender) is an advantage

• Fluency in German or English

• Basic knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) is an advantage
