Job Description SummaryServices LEAP Product Support Engineering (PSE) team is a part of the global LEAP PSE group, that provides technical support for airlines and MROs on field engines. We are responsible for timely responding to customer technical inquiries concerning engine work scope recommendations, field hardware dispositions and maintenance documents clarification/interpretation. We are also responsible for managing LEAP Engine Manuals and selected parts of airframe’s maintenance manuals. PSE team supports maintaining reliability and implementing field fixes by cooperating closely with Field Representatives and Customer Support Managers, Systems, Design, Repair and Services Engineering. The very important part of the PSE engineer job is continuous communication with customers, including face-to-face meetings with individual airlines and at larger forums (annual Customer Technical Symposium). We are looking for a team member who will join the team and continue his career as a PSE engineer. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Support of installed base including activities such as customer issue resolution, fleet issues, service bulletin implementation, Monitoring & Diagnostics, fleet configuration. Maintenance of fleet data, outage management.
- Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
- In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
- A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent. Provides informal guidance to new team members
Required Qualifications
- This role requires advanced experience in the Engineering/Technology & Fleet Management. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
- General knowledge of engine architecture,
- Willingness to continuous learning and sharing best practices within the organization
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
