The Cold Flow Turbine Test Facility will be built in Zielonka, near Warsaw, Poland. It will be one of the largest and most modern laboratory of its kind worldwide, and will carry out industrial R&D for the aeronautical industry, including the testing of engine turbine prototypes and technological demonstrators used in the production of aeroengines.
The Test Engineer will have to support the Test Leader in managing the test campaign and lead the setup, commissioning and test activities according to test specification as well as recording and collecting test campaign data and results.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities :
The test engineer will have to support the Test Leader in the following activities:
- the definition of test rig architectural concept
- guarantee the availability of all the components necessary for executing the test activities supported by the procurement employee
- test data validation
- issuing of test reports and management of test database
Representing the internal interface of the test leader with test operations personnel.
- Guarantee execution of test activities
To coordinate the team that will operate in the test cell ensuring, with respect to times agreed upon and configuration standards required, the installation of test rigs and test articles, the set up and configuration of the data acquisition system, the management of commissioning and tests and the correct registration/filing of test data, disassembly andpreservation of material used.
- Guarantee quality of test activities
He/she will have to perform the activities following the rationalization and standardization of test methods reported in the test procedures, with the intention of improving efficiency and effectiveness. He/she will be in charge of:
- the communications and updates relevant to the test execution issuing the daily report
- recording the test activities in the logbook
- managing the test data with the standard tools provided
- fulfilling the schedule of the test campaign agreed with the internal/external customer and the test leader
- reviewing and recording of the test article quality documentation
Qualifications/Requirements
- Degree in Aeronautics or Mechanical Engineering
- Fluent English
- Good background in aerodynamics and turbine performance
- Knowledge of mechanical components design and familiarity with mechanical drawings
- Some background in air oil network systems and general plant services is preferred.
