In your role, you will be responsible to lead and execute the required the Direct Energy Deposition (DED) technology maturation and coordinate the assigned NTI additive projects.
You will be working in a very young and innovative environment with the aim to mature and properly exploit this amazing disruptive technology.Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities
Coordinate and execute assigned DED projects to progress additive manufacturing/technology readiness and robustness to production standard.
Oversee the overall DED value stream for reaching producibility targets of the whole manufacturing process.
Coordinate the cross-functional team to achieve program targets (MAE, system, GSC, external suppliers, sourcing, quality, …)
Monitor and track project milestones in order to highlight potential criticality, define reaction plan and eventually setting up required escalation.
According with all the lesson learnt provide feedback to improve/align current DPs and methods.
Remain current in the state of the art within own technical specialty for new products introduction activity, performance improvements, cost reductions and problem resolutions.
Support the requested External funding bid and proposal initiatives Design with additive logic the assigned PNs and develop/consolidate relative Business cases.
Support the definition and evolution of additive roadmap within the organization (including Material development and innovative post-processing technologies) in order to reach company goals
Proactively support and/or execute other Engineering tasks and initiatives.
Participate as a lead presenter in technical and project reviews.
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks are consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Qualifications/RequirementsBachelors or Masters degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
Strong experience in design for additive role for aeronautic components.
The ability to produce clear, concise reports and other documentation, of appropriate quality.
Strong experience in build optimization
Strong experience in process simulation
Knowledge of key aeronautical engines layout, architecture and mechanical systems arrangements
Fluency in English and Italian language, both written and oral;
The ability to work under pressure with other team members.
Work Visa, according to local regulation, is required
