Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist with maintaining, updating, and developing related Special Process Technology documents (e.g., P-Spec, QCWI’s, Audit Checklists) related to the special processes.
- Aid in the Special Process Technology’s engineering, quality, and manufacturing requirements over product’s lifecycle for non-conventional machining.
- Obtain and maintain qualifications as a certifying agent for multiple non-conventional processes
- Provide support related to compliance, technology, and manufacturing readiness at GEA sites and Suppliers.
- Obtain the ability to Audit GEA manufacturing sites, support for Supplier and MRO Audits.
- Represent GEA interests and lead in industry associations, as needed.
- Work with Value Streams and Sites to drive local Special Process self-sufficiency.
- Develop Special Process control strategies for emerging technologies as required.
- Assist in the development, growth, and sustainment of the Special Process Auditor and Certifying Agent community pipeline, qualification, training, and approvals for non-conventional machining.
- Collaborate with Sourcing to assure Special Process readiness at new Suppliers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college + a minimum of 3 years of manufacturing and/or manufacturing engineering experience (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of manufacturing and/or manufacturing engineering experience)
