Job Description SummaryThe Lead Quality Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for product quality review associated with customer contractual and GE quality system requirements. Ensures that projects and products are capable and will meet specified standards. Demonstrates leadership by communicating business goals and processes effectively. Creates strategies that further the sites quality priorities and improvements. This role is in Beavercreek Ohio, just outside Dayton.

- Ownership includes both quality assurance and quality control. Includes conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, etc.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline.
- Use prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to implement changes to procedures to lead process improvements.
- Ability to troubleshoot defects and determine root cause of quality issues impacting multiple engine programs.
- Partner with support staff and work teams to identify high risk areas and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Perform internal audits to support site quality compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Create, revise, and participate in quality system document updates.
- Identify, drive and partner with the teams to implement projects that improve overall production quality and throughput.
- Use LEAN methodologies to drive regulatory compliance, optimize quality systems that support field action, improve product quality and reliability.
- Perform First Article Inspection duties to assure all drawing characteristics are accounted for and conforming prior to first delivery.
- Deliver product engineering source data to engineering customer to substantiate process conformity.
- Own the responsibility for control of nonconforming outputs including disclosure to customer and final disposition of product.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing and/or Quality
- At least 3 years of experience in Manufacturing and/or Quality
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience in APQP, Advanced Product Quality Planning a plus.
- Expertise in AS9100 knowledge
