Roles and Responsibilities
- Ownership includes both quality assurance and quality control in the assembly process
- Includes quality assurance of products, services, and manufacturing processes
- Develops new solutions/process improvements under guidance and/or in a team setting to help the business meet its objectives (Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost)
- Works on cross functional teams; delivers products as part of a team
- Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance
- Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks
- Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems
- May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions
- Works together with business leadership
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in manufacturing or quality)
- Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in manufacturing OR GE OMLP Graduate
Desired Characteristics
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- Direct experience with turboshaft engines
- Direct experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and troubleshoot blue print drawings
- Six Sigma or equivalent Quality training
- Experience utilizing lean tools such as: Daily Management, standard work, Kaizen, 5S, 5 why and problem solving reports (A3)
- Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
