The test engineer is responsible of leading the team in the operating activities relevant to engine and component test. You will be the focal point of the assigned test from the test cell upgrade, test cell set up preparation and definition phase of the test through the whole process to data post-processing and reporting. You will involved in the IDEM engine test to coordinate the testing activities and will interface with the Customer of the test.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
The test engineer will have to work with the Test Leader/CTHs and the rest of the team in the following activities:
Engine test cell upgrade working in synergy with Experimental Facilities team and suppliers.
Engine test cell set up and preparation.
Collect the engine test requirement.
Concurrence and review of the test request
Definition of test architecture
Quotation and planning of the test.
Guarantee execution of test activities meeting
Execute test and validate data.
Guarantee the targets test in terms of safety, quality, schedule, and costs.
Coordinate the team that will operate in the test cell ensuring all activities are in accordance with targets agreed upon and configuration standards required.
Perform the activities following the rationalization and standardization of test methods with the aim of improving efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor or Master degree in Aeronautics or Mechanical Engineering
Knowledge in one or more of the following disciplines: control electrical systems, data acquisition systems, measurement system, main type of sensors instrumentation, mechanical drawings, general plant services
Familiarity with mechanical components and engine design, air/oil/fuel system
Availability for three shift work
Attitude/willingness to lead cross functional and multicultural teams.
Fluent Italian and English
Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required.

Some background of the engine and component test cells
Project management skills to plan and monitor the activities in terms of schedule and costs.
Availability to work in different test cells and different sites.
Capability of troubleshooting and problem solving
