Boeing is seeking a Lead-Level Drafter to join our San Antonio Manufacturing Center Team in San Antonio.
This position will work with our core Engineering group translating designs into manufacturable drawings and specifications. In addition, this position will work with our other engineering disciplines to develop drawings to aide in manufacturing and NC programming. The ideal candidate will have experience in computer aided tools such as Catia and NX and will have experience with drafting support for CAM systems.
Position Responsibilities:
- Translate customer needs into detailed requirements for system integrated designs including system architectures for current operations.
- Generate engineering models for selected designs using CAD software using Catia.
- Provides guidance on product definition data creation methods.
- Performs validation of product definition data to ensure the accuracy of completed work.
- Validates manufacturing to specification compliance
- May be asked to support other programs or perform other duties as needed.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of experience with computer aided design (CAD) tools for the design of mechanical components/assemblies.
- 5+ years of experience in the mechanical design/drafting field.
- 5+ years of mechanical and assembly integration experience.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Associate degree or higher.
- 5+ years of experience with 3D Design software, such as Unigraphics NX, SolidWorks and/or CATIA.

Summary pay range: $75,650 - $102,350.
