Job Description:
CONTEXT OF THE POSITION:
The jobholder represents Engineering and Chief Engineering in A320 family Final Assembly Line, Wide
Body (A330&A350) Completion Center and Aircraft Delivery Centre in Tianjin.
The jobholder support from FAL start up to Delivery in terms of topics which require engineering expertise in aircraft structure perimeter.
ACCOUNTABILITY :
The jobholder acts on the complete primary and secondary aircraft structure (all ATA chapters linked to
structure design like doors, windows, fuselage, wing, tail planes & pylons). The technical solutions are
established for metallic and composite structure.
The main activities and outputs are:
1. Analyzing Non Conformities discovered during aircraft assembly, testing and delivery. Provide
assessment of acceptability of the Non Conformity, provide rework or repair solution to Non
Conformity.
2. Provide design/stress assessment and justification of acceptability of the rework or repair.
3. Providing long term solutions to recurrent Non Conformities, through the proposition of design or
manufacturing improvements.
4. Creating temporary aircraft definitions (through technical note or special instructions) in order to
support the operational tests.
5. Provide aircraft safety assessment and delta endorsement for flight test.
6. Supporting delivery by providing technical justifications to customers.
This role will involve some travel for business in Europe/worldwide and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
This role is working under flexible working hours and requesting standby during weekdays or weekends according to team arrangement.
The interview for this position will involve a dedicated case study.
QUALIFICATION :
1. EDUCATION: with Bachelor degree, in Aircraft Design/Aircraft manufacture/Mechanic Engineering/Material Engineering major.
2. EXPERIENCE: 5 year experience in Aviation/Aeronautic domain.
3. CERTIFICATION: Not required, CAAC/EASA/FAA maintenance license is a plus.
4. LANGUAGE: fluent English both in written and oral speaking, French or German is a plus. 5. KNOWLEDGE / TECHNICAL SKILLS: Strong technical knowledge on aircraft design/repair, mechanics, metallic and/or composite design, typical stress methodologies, physics.
6. ABILITIES: Logical analysis, problem solving, continuous learning, continuous improvement, communication, customer focus, decisive.
7. TRAITS: Integrity, Responsibility, Stress resistance.
8. DRIVER / VALUES: Self-directed, both independence and collaboration.
